We came across this trailer in Como, Colorado during a camping trip in the area. Although it might not be the ideal structure to live in, the view was amazing! Who chooses to live here? What is the history of this time and weather damaged structure?

Ice Painting 1
This photo is part of a series of photos that I did where I use paint and ice to create unique and changing landscapes of color. I love the temporary aspect of the concept. Every second the composition changes and evolves. Colors mixing and changing.
Casa Bonita
This is the last photo of a series of photos chosen by friends using random numbers. This image was chosen, in part by my younger brother, Josh Ball with the # 360.
Casa Bonita is a landmark in Denver. Every kid who grows up here has to go there at least once. The food is terrible and the entertainment is for kids but it’s always fun to watch the kids having a great time. It’s also a place for teenage kids to get some performing experience in the elaborate set. Every half hour or so they come out and perform some skits that involve diving into their indoor pools. The movement in this piece is what made me choose it for today’s entry.

Como
This photo was taken of a truck in the town of Como, Co. If you’ve never been to Como, you have to go! It’s the strangest little town that looks like it could be abandoned, but it’s not. Many of the houses look like a junk yard office. It’s filled with visual treats for photographers. Don’t forget to visit the cemetery while you’re there. It’s situated in a lovely aspen grove just outside of town.
Changing Landscape
I took this photo somewhere in Oregon as we drove home from Portland recently. What made me immediately pull over as I saw this was the juxtaposition of the old rusted building with the wind turbines in the background. I realized that new technologies and our quest to be a “green” world, will ultimately change our landscapes forever. Whether you love it or hate it, this will become a more common scene for all of us.
Sleep
After a 22 hour car drive from Portland, all I can think of is sleep. I thought this piece communicted that well. Good night until tomorrow!
PS Lounge
The PS Lounge sign is a landmark image in Denver. This photo was taken as part of a series I did based on Colfax Ave. I really love the lines, color and basic shapes of this piece.
Crystal Capitol
I love the way the snow and trees in this photograph frame the dome of the Capitol Building. This shot was taken during a major winter storm in 2007 while I was living at The Other Side Arts.
