I’ve been thinking about food all day today. So, when it came time to choose a photo for today’s post, I was immediately drawn to this shot.

Some days I am left to my own devices in the studio. I love doing studio work but sometimes I just don’t have a model. Today I used this mannequin to express myself. I love the lines and color of this piece. It was done with red gelled strobes and a white background.

This photo was taking at an artist retreat in 2007 in collaboration with photographer Randall Bellows. The red tree was created with an off camera flash with a red gel. I love working with other artists. Often new and exciting ideas out of brainstorming.
