As photography progresses within the art scene and the tools to explore it expand, my personal approach to the medium has evolved accordingly. While the pursuit of perfect composition and exposure can offer a methodical seduction in capturing a film image, digital photography entices the imagination with endless possibilities.
Gears of Man evokes many of the elements I strive to achieve in my paintings by incorporating complicated layers and manipulating saturations of color and exposure. The cyclical inspiration drawn from the two very different mediums presents a new, hybrid expression of imagery.
