I love the perspective of this piece. It was taken in an abandoned steel and wire company in Chicago. Every time I look at this photo, it draws me in, spins me around and spits me out. I love that momentary sensation in my stomach like I’m on a spinning ride at Lakeside.

Part of the reason I chose to come to the rust belt to shoot a photography project is that I love the aesthetic of decay. This image of a vw bug in Erie, Co caught my eye for its different stages of corrosion.

As you drive along East Colfax in Denver, Co you pass many used car lots and motels. This car was part of a whole collection of vintage cars for sale. I love the shapes and color of this piece.


Decomposition

Decomposition

Rust will always catch my eye. I love the variations in tone and texture in this piece. Decomposition is part of any life cycle. The process of steel oxidizing is one of the most beautiful to me.

I am a fine art photographer in Denver, Colorado. My work runs the gamut from high-end fashion to the deconstruction of masculinity. My curiosity and appreciation for the many different methods art is created and perceived has led to a diverse expression. I find myself drawn to a multitude of different themes, mediums and how they all relate and object to each other. My work stems from a belief that art is in everything.
