Julian is one of the best models I’ve ever worked with. He’s very professional and willing to try anything. We had him on his back in mud and he didn’t blink an eye. I love the vintage feel of this photo. The styling was done by local designer, Armando Guerra.

In the late 90’s I was taking lots of photos of the rave scene here in Denver. This shot of Armando Guerra was taken just before he left for a party. This period of time is when Armando first began designing clothing. His designs were all for himself and often involved hot glue and fake fur. His design aesthetic has changed over the years but his creativity is just at lively and bright!
As I start to build up my fashion portfolio, I continue to go through my archive and find little treasures like this. I love the deep shadows of this piece

This photo of my partner, Remy was from our second photo shoot together. As I was editing the photo I thought about who helped to choose it. Felix is also a photographer who really likes high key fashion images. I usually try to keep my exposure levels so that no skin tones are blown out but this time I embraced it.
I’ve been hanging out with my friend Armando for the last couple of days. He’s been working in my studio on a painting for his Mom for Christmas. It made me think of all of the photo shoots we’ve done together. This one has always been on of my favorites. It’s part of a “macho sissy” series where I’m exploring the extreme sides of masculinity and femininity and the line between.
