Remy, Henry and I took a nice fall drive today. Here are a few of the images I got.
Macro images of common molds.

Jonathan Edward Balfour used to be a cat person. Growing up, the songwriter spent a lot of time at cat shows, primping and fluffing felines with names like Oro Ojos Cruz Bernal of Katsamust. These days, Jonathan is making a name for himself at different kinds of shows as the front man for the indie […]
This photo of a lakefront view of downtown Chicago was taken during my rust belt tour earlier this year. Although most of the trip was focused on finding the beauty in the decayed and neglected industries, we would take moments like this one to see the beauty in the modern city as well. This is […]
I love the perspective of this piece. It was taken in an abandoned steel and wire company in Chicago. Every time I look at this photo, it draws me in, spins me around and spits me out. I love that momentary sensation in my stomach like I’m on a spinning ride at Lakeside.
This portrait of up and coming model Kaitlyn Amick was taken last week as part of a portfolio shoot for local designer, Armando Guerra. Make-up was done by Becky Laschanzky www.missbeckymakeupartist.com who did a great job at creating this soft clean look.
This image of model Stephen Montez was the cover of Metromode Magazine in 2006. You can see some more of Stephen’s modeling work at: http://www.modelmayhem.com/StephenMTZ
The Anthony Wayne Bridge, a 3,215-foot suspension bridge crossing the Maumee River, has been a staple of Toledo’s skyline for more than 70 years. It is locally known as the “High-Level Bridge.” This bridge is an iconic image in Toledo. This shot was taken today at sunset with my brother Joshua. We’ve been shooting together […]
I passed this scene the other day in Denver and I was drawn to the juxtaposition of the religious and industrial icons. Both have been worshiped at different times of history by different groups of people. As I start to shoot the fall of our once great industrial sector, I will continue to look for […]
This image was part of a handmade book I made based on the theme of Denial. This represents the elephant in the room that everyone seems to be able to ignore. At the time GW was still in office and I was amazed at how the general public was blind to his ways.
Since I was 16 I have been in love with Volkswagons. I’ve had 5 beetles, 4 buses (one of which I traveled through Europe in) and a VW Thing. When I came across this awesome VW yard today, I was immediately drawn to this image. I’ve spent many hours with my head and hands in […]
This photo was taken for my partner, Remy’s Blog. His middle name is Hipolito and he named his blog, “Little Hippo.” At the time, Remy still smoked and we thought this was the perfect image for it. He has since stopped smoking so we’re thinking about a new image for his website. If you’d like […]
Yesterday, I received a neutral density filter that I ordered earlier in the week. I went for a walk along the Platte river with my dog, Kahlo to get this shot. I scouted this spot on a walk with my partner Remy last weekend and I knew it would be the perfect place to try […]
This photo was part of a series of photographs I did based on Colfax Ave. in Denver. Colfax is known for it’s neon, motels and used car lots. The Driftwood Motel is located close to the border of Denver and Aurora.
I’m working on a series of water photographs. I’m getting very close to what I’m going for. Here’s an example of one of the shots. I really love doing this type of work in the studio on snowy days. It’s perfect distraction from the real world. Simple drops of water can become a whole different […]
Today, I shot some photography of some great jewelry by Aurora artist, Kim Harrell. I love these red pump earrings! They are too cute. Check out more of Kim’s work at her website, www.eastendarts.com
Yesterday, we visited the “Embrace” exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. This piece by Tobias Rehberger was my favorite of the exhibit. Tobias was able to break down the normal rules of not interacting or touching the art. You make your way through this maze of bungee cords to find little pockets or rooms where […]

This photo was taken in a friends garden. Nature photography is something I like to do as a relaxing activity. I don’t get too crazy with it or worry about how the images will turn out. I allow myself to play and try new things.
Some days I am left to my own devices in the studio. I love doing studio work but sometimes I just don’t have a model. Today I used this mannequin to express myself. I love the lines and color of this piece. It was done with red gelled strobes and a white background.
Denver Diner is another iconic business in Denver, Colorado. From the corner of Speer and Colfax, this eatery hosts lots of late night patrons seeking comfort food. This photo was taken as part of a photography series based on Colfax Ave which is now showing in the Aurora MLK library. It was also recently chosen […]
